New study shows that inhaled cannabis is effective for diabetic neuropathic pain

A randomized, placebo-controlled  trial published in The Journal of Pain shows evidence that inhaled cannabis may be effective for reducing neuropathic pain caused by diabetes.  See the study results here.

For patients suffering from severe chronic pain their choices are limited. Medical marijuana may be an alternative to prescription opioid painkillers.  In fact states that allow medical cannabis have lower rates of opioid use.
